john boehner is elected by those conservatives. first of all, he has -- usually a formality but the speaker is elected first day of congress, january 3rd. he's going to strike a deal on a deal on entitlements, tax reform. this framework as a predicate to coming to a deal on the tax. >> he's going to do all that before the vote. >> first of all. second of all, it's going to take time. it's going to have to be a fight and demonstrate to the conference when the business community, when the senate republicans pull the rug out from under him they're isolated. when there's this economic clat clichl and the whole world is coming down on him, i don't see -- if past is precedent, how do to get anything done before we get to that point. >> politically though, the white house has the most leverage in this small period of time, the longer they let this drag out the last political leverage they will have. it's just a fact of life. >> yeah. now, i agree with todd. >> but they have to acknowledge boehner's problem. >> he has a really big problem.
